This is the America I love!

Every time I watch his steps and I see the outpouring of support from people who didn’t know James… and probably will never meet him – I am moved beyond words.  James Robertson is 56 years old, makes $10.55 an hour, and he is determined to work even if it means six hours on foot - in the dead of the night - through some of Detroit’s roughest neighborhoods — spring, summer, fall and winter. James walks 21 miles round trip to his job every day. His roundtrip commute also includes a bus ride for part of the journey - all of this consumes 22 hours a day - and James has the same 24 hours that you and I do.
