Senior Maddi Runkles was initially suspended from the Christian school, but after an appeal from her family - the principal changed the discipline to the fact that Maddi would NOT be able to graduate with her classmates. Principal David R. Hobbs from Heritage Academy in Hagerstown, Maryland decided that it was time to teach the young lady a lesson “not because she is pregnant but because she was immoral. ... The best way to love her right now is to hold her accountable for her morality that began this situation.” Runkles, 18, has a 4.0 grad average, she is student council president, her dad was a board member, her brother attended the school as well. “It’s because I’m pregnant and you can see the results of my mistake. There have been kids who have broken the student code and they could have hurt people or even gone to jail and they only received an in-school suspension and they’re allowed to walk this year. The school is worried about its reputation, but I think they’re missing out on an incredible opportunity to set an example for the pro-life community and Christian schools about how to treat guys and girls like me.” Did the school do the right thing? Shouldn't a Christian school be more forgiving perhaps? Co-host Terry Beatley leaves no stone unturned in this one. She says it is high time folks step up and do the right thing. Will Malcolm and Terry agree?
