How can we remain the most competitive nation in the world when we don’t seem to take our infrastructure seriously? Every four years, the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) publishes a Report Card of America’s Infrastructure which provides a comprehensive assessment of the nation’s major infrastructure components. Since 1998, the grades have been near failing, averaging only Ds, due to delayed maintenance and underinvestment. “We need bold leadership at all levels,” says Gregory DiLoreto, ASCE President.
